From "RAF Yatesbury The History" with the kind permission of Phil Tomaselli - EditorAPPENDIX 9The following is a breakdown of the trainees who successfully completed training at RAF Yatesbury. Is does include the few (about 400) cooks and batmen trained just after the war. It does not include permanent staff, the unknown number, (I guess about 1000), who did their square-bashing in 1946/47, the Pilots and Observers who trained at the Flying School, or the trainees who tailed and were CT. (Cease Training). It is not possible to obtain these figures but again I will guess about 10-15% of all trainees.
Three months missing from 1946 so final total increased pro rata FOOTNOTE As you can see AWF72 has the distinction of contributing to the largest number of trainees to pass out.
